or two 3 hour sessions over two consecutive weeks.
Class setting: up to 3 people
In this full day workshop or two half days, you will be making your own pair of pyjama bottoms or shorts with elasticated waist and a drawstring.
machines are provided, material is not. you will need to bring material with you. I will advise on how much and what type depending on size of pj bottom
Suitable for those that can use a sewing machine already or have taken the Sewing Taster class or had a 1:1 session with me.
We will cover:
- Setting up the machine
- Taking your measurements
- Reading and understanding a basic pattern including which fabric is suitable
- Selecting the right size to use from a multi sized pattern
- Transferring the pattern and markings to the fabric
- Cutting out a pattern
- Sewing straight seams
- Altering length, hemming and finishing a seam
- Inserting elastic
- Making button holes and inserting a drawstring
